Rob Plevin has provided insight into some of the difficulties we face in the classroom. He provides suggestions for routines to teach, ways to reward desired behavior and create motivation to continue those behaviors, HOW to praise effectively, and much more. An excellent resource for any teacher, whether just starting out or a veteran. (All of the bonuses makes this an even better reason to own this book!)
Rob Plevin is a master. I love all his stuff. I reviewed one of his other books and I'll say the same thing... lots of great hacks, tips, and secrets... but don't stop there. If you want to master classroom management, it has more to do with modeling the behavior you want than trying to coerce, persuade, or trick your students into behaving better.
This book is super short- I read it in 30 minutes, BUT do not be deceived. I think his super simple advice is practical and easy to apply. I don't think things have to be so complicated. People are actually kind of simple for the most part and this book reminded me of this fact. I will definitely be using these suggestions with my kids this year.
Excellent resource, one of the best I've come up to (as well as other Rob's books I've read), full of ready to use ideas. Helped me look at some problems from a different view. It's also worth studying the additional resources. Definitely worth reading and putting into action!

This book is so easy to read. The ideas can be used in any classroom. I teach kindergarten through 12th grade and the many ideas I have used have been successful in all grade levels.
