This cookbook was a great addition to the Dash Diet. It offers the ease of slow cooker recipes as well as healthy options for your high blood pressure diet.I especially like that there were a lot of soups. Soups are such a comforting food during winter and as we are heading into that time of year I like having a cook book handy to offer up some easy healthy soup recipes!

The DASH Diet Slow Cooker Cookbook is the best in slow cooker recipes in my opinion! I was so surprised at all the possible recipes that you can cook using a slow cooker. I have a slow cooker in my apartment, but I usually only use it for chilis in the colder months of the year.This cookbook has helped me to realize that a slow cooker can be used year round! I especially like the dessert recipes because they are sweet and delectable and they are healthier options than indulging in a candy bar or a chocolate cake. I also like the approach of having a variety of different “mixes” throughout the recipe where one food is the central focus of the slow cooker dish and there are supporting ingredients to enhance its wonderful, natural flavors.To improve future publications, I would suggest placing the blurb about the amount of servings and nutrition facts in the beginning part of the recipe rather than how it was placed at the end of every recipe. This allows someone to preview a recipe via reading the nutrition facts. The reader can then figure out if the recipe aligns with their desired intake of sodium, carbs, or calories. If it does, then the recipe can be made and if not, he or she can move on to a different recipe that better aligns with their desired intake of macronutrients.Otherwise, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for quick and healthy meals!

The DASH diet Slow Cooker Cookbook is a fantastic addition to my kitchen. My wife and I have been looking for ways to be healthier in a general sense, more specifically being healthier with our chaotic work schedule. The breakfasts have been a game changer in our life! As quick and easy as it is to prepare a meal in the evening before bed and have a healthy option when we get up and start are day has saved us time and helped us keep on track with our health. While many of the recipes are designed for four or more people, that also works out in our favor (we package breakfast for the next day as well)! Almond and Cherry Oats works for both lunch and breakfast and is just as good cold as it is hot (personal favorite). The lunch and dinner options also served our schedule as working adults.On a side note, as simple and easy as most of these recipes are, they are also filling and taste great! We are very satisfied with this cookbook. While we have not tried all of the recipes yet, I am not worried about time or flavor anymore. I have struggled in the kitchen, but the DASH diet Slow Cooker Cookbook has made it easy for me to prepare great healthy meals for me and my wife!

I would prefer more main dish ideas. There are only about 20 main dish recipes and most of those are soup. I don't need to use my slow cooker of breakfast or deserts. I use it to cook dinner while I'm at work. I was disappointed.

I've tried a few recipes. So far the chicken taco is our favorite and the lentil soup is our least favorite. I wish there were more main dishes, but for the kindle price I'm not dissatisfied.
